Cooking With Nots!

We've been having a whole lot of fun finding the best ways to move nuts out and Nots! in.  Here are some helpful suggestions:
           1) Do not grind for baking- the sunflower will essentially "disappear".  Use a very coarse chop or simply chop with a knife.
           2) In salads- use whole, chop with knife or add the crumbs and bits from the bottom of the bag.
           3) Crusts and Coatings- we are experimenting and have heard someone is going to try a pie crust.  For shake-and-bake coating the moisture is
               too high and the heat too low to get a nice crisp crust.  We would love to hear if you solve this!

Party Mix

Use Nots! instead of nuts in party mix.  We use the Orignial Chex® Party Mix recipe.  Simply swap one cup of Nots! for "one cup of mixed nuts".  Of course, we like a bit more.  An extra half-cup of Nots! gives a nice blend and something to "pick-out".  Enjoy!

Vinaigrette Chicken Wraps

Chicken over charcoal is terrific, and this wrap takes it one step further.  In a tortilla wrap combine: 1 cubed chicken breast; 1/4 cup baby spinach; 1/8 cup mozzarella cheese; 1/8 cup chopped blackberries; 2 teaspoons Light Balsamic Vinaigrette; and 1/8 cup of Nots!  A fresh, juicy, healthy and delightful blend of textures and crunch!
